What you will see and do on your magical tour of Africa:
The Cape tour will commence early on September 9th, 2011
Highlights: Cape Point, Boulders Penguin Colony, Table Mountain, Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, and Bloubergstrand for a sunset dinner then onto the nearby wine country, to Cape Agulhas – the southern-most point on the continent, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans really meet. Cage diving with the Great Whites in Shark Alley, off the coast near Gansbaai, then the coastal town of Gordon’s Bay, and a safari drive in the bush. Near Kruger National Park, we’ll join the famous “Panorama Route”, and drive through several old, historic towns and villages: Blyde River Canyon (third largest canyon in the world), Lisbon Falls, and God’s Window. In Kruger: Pretoriuskop Rest Camp for a game walk with two experienced game rangers another game drive (safari) follows and later that day, we’ll arrive at Skukuza, Kruger’s main and largest rest camp for the overnight. The next two days will include several game drives, and an “open vehicle” game drive in the company of a Park ranger. We’ll spend two days/nights in Olifants Rest Camp, located on a high plateau overlooking the Olifants River and the vast low-lying bushveld. This is one of the most beautiful views in the Park, and you’ll be able to enjoy these spectacular views while enjoying a cocktail on the front porch of your bungalow. We’ll depart Kruger early the next morning and proceed to a private game lodge located north of the city of Pretoria, where we’ll spend the night. Here we’ll be treated to a farewell “bush braai” (barbeque). The next day we’ll depart for Johannesburg International Airport, and for our flight back to the US.
