Below is Part II. Enjoy!
You travel all around the world with your husband. What have been the best travel experiences you’ve had as a couple?
We love wildlife-focused trips–seeing the creatures you can only see in a specific place, and then grinning at each other like happy fools. We once took a rusty fishing boat out to the marine reserve around Bali’s Menjangan Island, in the Java Sea; the corals and fish there are so vibrant it’s almost ridiculous. We went on a float excursion down the Snake River in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park and saw beavers building their dens and bald eagles in the treetops, then wrapped up the day back in Jackson Hole with wine and cheese by a roaring fire. Our safaris in Botswana and Tanzania were life-changing, and we’ll probably never stop talking about seeing lions, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes–even an elusive honey badger. And at an eco-lodge on Costa Rica’s southernmost Osa Peninsula, we sat side by side in Adirondack chairs on the deck of our cabin and watched monkeys swing through the rainforest. Lots of monkeys.
